Upon retirement I became a volunteer presenter for the University of the Third Age (U3A).

I have been giving History talks for U3A and a number of other organisations, over the last 12 years.

I prepared these notes to accompany my history talks to members of U3A in Tamworth Australia. Some were also used in presentations for U3A On Line, Australia.

Whilst the notes are freely available for you to use, please acknowledge the source as Gordon Holding. You may summarise them, add to and amend them. However, if you amend the text please state that you have done so.

I have used Power Point slides to accompany the talks. They include images, topic headings, quotations, and key facts. I am happy to share them with presenters from U3A or other reputable, not for profit, adult education groups.
